Get Funky! blog challenge

This month over at GetFunky! the blog challenge is SHAPED CARDS I love shaped cards so much fun.
I set to work and decided on a teapot card with a teacup tag hanging from the handle, unfortunately I wasn't that happy with it as I felt it was very plain.
I recently attened a workshop at a local craft shop where we made a cup-cake card, this had a little bit more to it so I set to on this one, unfortunately I mislaid the template that we were given so I drew around the card and made another.

I have used papers from the Dreams come true cd
Free Romance and Blue Magic. I cut out the flowers from the paper in Blue Magic and put them on the card to cover up a 'faux pas'! I then cut out using scalloped punches the topper bits and then used Quickutz Daisy die for the flower finishing with a brad. I hand wrote happy birthday across the 'cream' and did a bit of faux stitching I edged each part with a brown chalk from Papermania which has some glitter in which doesn't show up but certainly on my worksurface!

Funky Hand blog Challenge - April Showers

I love Funky Hand I have a number of downloads and a couple of the cds, my recent download was the Retro Fun Word book. I am now entering Aprils challenge and had the ideal stamp for the challenge.
I have used a teardrop style card but only used 2 parts instead of 3, the stamped image is 'Little Claire' from Little Claire and coloured in using Pro-markers, I have also used Sakura Gelly Roll -Clear Star- for the wings, raindrops and flower umbrella, I have used 2 papers from 'Hearts and Flowers' (5 &16) and also used the alphabet which I scaled down on the photo wizard. I have finished the card with a peel-off border.

another Easel card

As promised another easel card, this time one for the boys. I have used the t-shirt template from Craftwork Cards, the black and white stripes I sourced from the internet and then used the Newcastle image and scaled it down, the base paper is from Funky Hand Retro Fun. I apologise to all non- Newcastle fans but unfortunately my OH and boys are fans!!

Easel Card

I am really taken with the easel card having been inspired looking through Debbie Dolphins Blog
so here is a circular easel card made using pearlised card, Rubber Stamp Tapestry pegs and a braid from my stash. I used a compass to draw and cut out the circle.
I have another waiting in the wings!

Blog Challenges

Well I haven't done a blog challenge for sometime so I was hopping around others blog spots for inspiration and linked to a number of challenges. Here is my interpretation for 3 challenges

Sir Stampalot - Fantasy
By the Cute and Girly - Fairytales
Allsorts - Challenge 46 no DP

I have opted for an easel card. I have used Fairy and Toadstool from Dimension Fourth - using Black Memento, then coloured using Promarkers, the wings are filled using Sakura Gelly Roll Clear star; Matte and layered onto navy card then Aqua blue pearl card which matches the fairy skirt.
